Start: Just north of Borve (bottom left of map)

Finish: A859 on to Old Pier Road, behind the School (top right of map) Highest Point: 140m

The race 'base' is located within the sports hub on the site of the local high school in West Tarbert, a short walk from the ferry terminal.  

changing facilities & personal belongings

Spacious modern changing areas and toilets are located inside the school and are clearly signposted. Designated areas close to the changing rooms will be available for gear to be left while the race is in progress. For clothing which runners wish to wear to the race start, but not during the race itself, a plastic bag and label will be provided and it will be taken back to the race base in one of the buses. Please don't take valuables to the race start!

Buses leave the school bus turning area at 1230 prompt to go to the starting line at Borve Lodge - see route map. The race gets under way at 1300. Water stops are available at strategic points on the course, roughly at 3 mile intervals.

The final stretch of the race is along Old Pier Road, which follows the south perimeter of the school, with the race finish in line with the western edge of the sports field.  

half marathon and heb 3 prize giving

The prize giving starts at 1600 approximately. Fun run prizes are awarded first, followed by the half marathon prizes - 1st, 2nd and 3rd overall, plus the male and female winners in each age category (+40/50/60), 1st local runner and 1st team. The Heb3 prize giving will then follow.  

a note on walkers

The course 'closes' at 1600. Anyone expecting to take longer than 3 hours to complete the course should make their entry in advance, and email the Race Director to let them know. This group will be taken down to the start line ahead of the main body of competitors, leaving Tarbert at approximately 1130.
