HARRIS HALF MARATHON 2019 – WINTER UPDATE
I am pleased to announce that the Harris Half Marathon will be under new ‘management’ from January 2020. The details will be confirmed at a later date, but in the meantime please be assured that this will have no impact on the core elements of the 2020 event i.e. the route, the race venue, the unique medals etc., with which many of you are already familiar.
Interest in the event continues to grow and, as the final race in the HEB 3 series, it is always a popular event in the running calendar. However, due to the logistics of transporting runners from the race venue to the race start, the number of places is restricted to 225. At time of writing more than one third of these places have already been taken and anyone considering entering would be well advised to book up now, particularly anyone not living locally, as there is huge pressure on accommodation in Harris at the height of the season.
A NOTE ON CANCELLATON POLICY:
Regular participants will be aware that the current policy of Harris Development Limited (the event organiser) is not to offer refunds other than in wholly exceptional circumstances. However, where runners are unable to participate and let the organisers know in advance, a deferred place to the following year can be offered.
