In recent years, the numbers participating in the Fun Run have been disappointingly low, well under 30, which may be due in part to safety concerns about young children running on busy main roads.

This is something which has also troubled the organisers and, as a result, it was decided in 2016 to trial new arrangements using a route around the school and will finish at Gantry on Pier Road.
